In this video: American artist Zola Jesus (aka Nika Roza Danilova) performs ‘Dust’ from her most recent album Taiga in a specially-commissioned concert and exclusive for Melbourne Music Week 2016. For this concert, Zola Jesus is joined by Melbourne ensemble Penny Quartet and Tamil Rogeon which features new works by Melbourne composer and arranger Louise Woodward, arrangements by JG Thirwell and projection art by Simon Burchin.

About Zola Jesus: Zola Jesus is the project of Nika Roza Danilova, who crafts dark music dominated by her operatic vocals and keyboards. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Nika has come a long way from her humble experimental noise bedroom-project beginnings, with the post-modern artist having released five acclaimed studio albums and collaborated with names such as David Lynch and M83 as well as performing alongside acts like The xx and Fever Ray.
